"The media is the message"
This frequently used quote reminds us to pay due attention to the quality of the media. However, we believe that some other aspects are possibly more important.
Relevance
For most professionals and executives it is more critical to get to the critical information, rapidly - just when they need it. If they get this they are usually more tolerant of how the "message" is presented. We therefore pay great attention to mechanisms or processes that help the learner get the most relevant media to them.
Cost Effectiveness
For most good eLearning experiences large amounts of material needs to be produced or aggregated to enable:
A range of learning styles to be catered for.
A range of examples to be given to help learners put the information or ideas into their context.
A range of learning needs to be catered for.
Enough reference material or theory to help learners take the learning where they need to go.
To deliver this we often put consistency and clarity of the material before glitz or gratuitous "interaction".
We also work with clients to introduce effective content develpment processes to enable them to support their organisation's learning with minimum external support.
