The Oxford Coach Mentors

The Centre for Networked Learning developed an Internet-based Programme Support System to support thousands of students going through OCM courses on coaching and mentoring.
Components include:
- A candidate sales-support and admin component
- A resource library to enable programme specific materials to be presented to candidates
- A student portfolio to enable materials to be submitted and reviewed by Faculty Coach Mentors
- A assessment workflow system to support a distributed assessment process
- A self-assessment and diagnostic tools database
We worked together to design a system based on and initial assessment of requirements and Centre for Networked Learning experience. Initially we mirrored existing processes quite closely. We then evolved the system over 4 years as the OCM introduced more efficient processes enabled by the Programme Support System.
Thus we enable the OCM to grow their business in new ways and increase efficiency as they do so.
The Global Convention on Coaching

The Global Convention on Coaching was a process which involved over a hundred leading coaches from around the World, designed to build consensus and take the emerging profession of coaching forward.
The Centre for Networked Learning set up a coordinating website and around 20 discussion forums covering different topic areas, including both private areas and public access areas to help dissemination.
The Centre for Networked Learning also provided the necessary support to make the project a success, including:
- Face to face training of chairs and facilitators
- Online and document based training materials for team members
- On online and telephone helpdesk to provide people with help accessing and using the system
- An ongoing content update service
- High availability hosing of the service
The outputs from the one year long, online, collaborative process fed into a global convention held in Dublin in 2008.
Vet Learning

Vet Learning provides post-graduate education for veterinary surgeons both around the UK and internationally. Their courses lead towards post-graduate certificate and masters' degree awards.
The Centre for Networked Learning provides the online support system for Vet Learning. This enables groups of vets work through the the highly colloborative programmes with a minimum of time away from their surgeries.
The support system uses Learning Net, which enables Vet Learning to taylor the online system to suits its process, rather than adapting its process to match the eLearning platform.
